Mobile manufacturer Samsung has announced the release of its Jet S8000 smartphone handset.
The new model was unveiled last night (June 15th) and will act as a direct rival to the recently launched iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre handsets.
Features include a five megapixel camera and Samsung dolphin web browsing capabilites, which provides social networking compatibility and DixX and XviD video playback facilities.
Samsung boasts that the Jet has the sharpest screen on the market with its WVGA AMOLED 3.1" display and the fastest full-touch smartphone interface, due to the speed of its internal 800 Mhz processor.
The vice president of Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland, Mark Mitchinson said: "Our 'Impatience is a Virtue' media campaign illustrates our understanding of the wants and needs of today’s fast paced consumers, and I believe once you use the new Jet phone you'll understand the unrivalled mobile experience we have created for them."<br/>
