- BT Wholesale contributed £1.3billion of EBITDA to BT Group's overall results.

Managed solutions:
- Last year, BT Wholesale signed Managed Network Solutions (MNS) deals worth £1.2 billion – and the momentum is continuing into 2009-2010.
- Of BT Wholesale’s top 15 customers, ten have now signed long-term managed deals.
- MNS now represents 19 per cent of BT Wholesale’s business and it’s growing.
- 4.1m UK homes and businesses receive voice services through our wholesale white label platforms.
- KCOM is the latest major managed network services contract BT Wholesale has signed. It enables KCOM to extend its network reach through access to BT's national network, outsourcing the management of its network assets to BT Wholesale.
- BT’s international voice services agreement with Tata Communications positions BT strongly for future growth in the international voice market through a combination of a lower cost base and the ability to benefit from TATA’s infrastructure investments around the world.
21st century network services:
- Wholesale Broadband Connect (WBC) - our next generation broadband service which offers speeds of up to 24Mbit/s - is available from exchanges serving over 40 per cent of UK homes and business. Subject to market demand, the footprint is set to reach 55 per cent of the UK this year.
- BT has a widest national footprint of high-speed Ethernet in the UK – 600+ nodes – and rollout continues.
- BT Wholesale provides high-speed 21CN Ethernet connections to four of the UK’s leading mobile network providers.
Broadband – copper and fibre access
- BT Wholesale provides broadband to more than 8 million UK homes and businesses through our current and next generation broadband
- BT Wholesale is responsible for delivering around 60% of the UK’s DSL broadband lines.
- BT Wholesale supports a broadband mixed economy access blend including copper and fibre access services; component-based and managed services and our Ethernet services supports mobile broadband.
- BT provides the broadest range of CPs - large and small - with a ‘competition-ready infrastructure’ on which to deliver their own services and sustain their business.
- A common system capability supports the WBC product family enabling CPs to rollout copper or fibre services quickly with minimal additional investment.
- BT Wholesale is already providing fibre to the premise services - with burstable speeds of up to 100Mbit/s - at Ebbsfleet Valley, Kent.
- Following customer pilots of fibre to the premise services - with speeds of up to 40Mbit/s and potentially 60Mbit/s - BT Wholesale will make fibre broadband services available to our customers in line with BT’s rollout plan. It aims to bringing 10million UK homes and businesses in reach of fibre to the premise services by 2012.
- BT Wholesale is helping its customers deliver the very best broadband performance possible with tools and techniques such as dynamic line management; stability option selection; QoS options; the reactive repair tool; knowledge based management…
- BT Wholesale’s patented self-install line filter called the I-Plate is already improving broadband performance across the UK with customers see amazing leaps in their broadband speeds – and up to nine million end users could benefit.
Wholesale calls:
- In just one year BT Wholesale has seen a four-fold increase in the number of end users taking wholesale calls - we now handle more than 4 million end user customers including 600,000 customers on our white label managed services.
- BT Wholesale provides more than 110 of our customers with call connection services. These customers have the opportunity to offer an 'own branded' telephone service over a PSTN or ISDN line provided, managed and maintained by BT
BT Wholesale doesn’t just look after ‘big players’
- BT Wholesale has a strong and growing business with a diverse range of smaller communications service providers which we refer to as the Communications Service Provider Group (CSPG).
- The value of CSPG sales contracts has risen by more than 14 per cent in the last twelve months.
- CSPG wins rose by more than 33 per cent last year.
- Average deal size in the CSPG space rocketed by more than 165 per cent in 2008/09.
- BT Wholesale is making it much easier for more companies to compete in the broadband space with its pay-as-you grow managed service – called BT Plusnet Partner.
- BT Wholesale’s ‘pay-as-you-grow’ services have no set up costs or customer number commitments and offer flexible charging, helping CSPGs to trial new services and scale that service accordingly at low cost and low risk.
Improving the customer experience:
- BT Wholesale’s goal is to be number one for customer experience. We do this through listening to our customers, through regular executive contact and customer satisfaction surveys as well as a service excellence programme. It monitors provision, repair, billing and reliability as well as initiatives to improve products and account relationships
- In one year, improvements to our repair processes and the introduction of diagnostic tools has almost halved our average broadband repair time
- BT Wholesale has shaved more than 2 hours off our average private circuit repair time
