Broadband XML Repair and Diagnostics

Our broadband XML repair offering consists of electronic trading business services capable of supporting trouble ticket submission - creating the opportunity for the seamless integration of a Service Provider"s systems estate with BT"s.

Specifically, the offering includes:

  • Transactional messaging (as opposed to batch messaging), enabling Service Providers to submit a fault report, append notes and query its status at any time.
  • The facility for Service Providers to request, confirm or cancel an appointment.
  • The facility for service providers to reject or confirm a cleared fault.
  • The facility for BT Wholesale to request a fault report to be cleared and send unsolicited updates to a Service Provider.

Broadband XML Diagnostics

Our broadband XML Diagnostics offering enables Service Providers to communicate directly with broadband diagnostic systems and carry out and control the following tests:

  • Broadband incident check.
  • Broadband one-shot check.
  • Broadband xDSL IP test.

These diagnostic tools are currently only available via WOOSH and enable testing of various aspects of the xDSL BT IPstream circuit - from the IP layer down to the physical (copper) layer. Similarly, BT Datastream circuits are tested from the local BT exchange equipment down to the copper layer.

These tests can assist in identifying whether an End User access fault exists and where.

This service, which enables real-time diagnosis of suspected faults before reporting them to BT Wholesale for investigation, gives Service Providers greater control over their customers" End User experience.
